Get to Know Laura Moser

Laura is our writer for DiscoverSkool. Laura was born in 1991 in Staten Island, New York, and still lives there. Laura began her writing as a young teenager, writing fictive coming-of-age short stories while attending book-writing classes with great enthusiasm.

Experience

Shortly after graduation from College, Laura began her career as a content manager for publication companies such as Penguin Random House and Reedsy.

Laura found an early interest in Content Management Systems and was one of the earliest adopters and content strategists for platforms such as Udemy.

Education

Laura attended the pre-college School of New York Time’s creative writing program, before enrolling in Standford University’s journalism program.

Laura also holds the Google digital marketing and E-commerce certificate.

Writing Style

In Lauras own words:

“I’d love to explore and experiment with writing styles, as a young adult I was very much into fictional writing. However, my education led me to adapt and incorporate writing styles such as reflective writing, persuasive writing, analytic writing and procedural writing, that are very much in line with what we at DiscoverSkool is trying to accomplish.”

Laura also highlights the importance of quality content, created for the user, over search engine manipulation – where well-written and researched material will stand out while competing with lesser-quality content publishers.

Projects

Laura holds an important position within the daily operations of DiscoverSkool, and is dedicated as a full-time employee within the company.

While Laura keeps her passion as an educational writer for various scientific papers, she sees DiscoverSkool as a long-term project and is careful in regards to spreading herself too thin between projects.
